A flat “20% off Tuesday–Thursday” trains the market to avoid Saturdays and trains your staff to apologize for weekend rates. Package the weekday instead.
Effective midweek offers share three traits:
1. A named package customers can say out loud — “Weekday Birthday Bundle,” “Office Lunch Tent,” “Classroom Soft-Play Half-Day,” “Contractor Weekday Tool Kit.”
2. A real convenience trade — earlier delivery window, free zone-A delivery, longer pickup grace, or a free add-on that costs you little on a slow day (extra tablecloths, a small generator, a second soft-play mat).
3. A hard date fence — valid only Mon–Thu event dates (or Mon–Wed in markets where Thursday already behaves like Friday).
Examples that tend to convert:
- Party: bounce + tables + free midweek delivery inside your primary zone; Saturday keeps the delivery fee and weekend surcharge.
- Wedding / event: weekday ceremony rehearsal install, corporate picnic tenting, or nonprofit fundraiser packages with published midweek floors lower than Saturday minimums — still profitable because labor is available.
- Equipment: weekday-only rates on assets that otherwise sit between weekend events, with a clear Friday-out premium so contractors do not game the calendar.
Publish packages on the same online booking calendar that blocks sold-out Saturdays. If the midweek deal only lives in a Facebook comment, phone staff will invent a fourth version by noon.
